The McNair-Harris Crescent Foundation supported the Sigma Beta Club of Greater Durham on their annual Black History Month Trip. The club started the annual trips to teach the young men about the importance of African American figures in history, along with the rich historical history of cities where African Americans established and thrived. This year, the Sigma Beta's were able to do a walking tour around the historical district of Williston School, visiting the old site on 7th st. and the new site on 10th st. History was shared regarding the Wilmington 10 and the historical African American Newspaper, "The Daily Record".
The McNair-Harris Crescent Foundation is excited that the Sigma Beta Club of Greater Durham takes pride in learning about African American history and historical figures. The foundation looks forward to the continued support for future initiatives.
